A Beginner's Guide

This series of video presentations is for the beginner - a simple guide to the correct set-up and operation of Entertainment sound systems. We have used equipment similar to that typically found in a holiday park, hotel or school.

There's a number of short, easy-to-follow practical demonstrations of different aspects of sound control. You can watch them in sequence, or simply go to the subject that you're unsure about. How do you use the "EQ" controls ... and what is "Swept Mid"? What's the GAIN pot really for? All is revealed here - helping you to produce good sound from your equipment and avoid the usual pitfalls of flashing red lights, distorted sound etc., which are so often found in venues all over the country. If everybody followed these basic methods, we'd lose a fortune, as no-one would be blowing their loudspeaker drivers any more!
